Amazing Shake Participation Information

Posted Date: 12/09/25 (04:30 PM)

Dear Parent/Guardian:

We are excited to announce that we will again be offering The Amazing Shake Program to our students!  We have seen great success with this program and the students, who participate in this program, have walked away with some incredible new skills, experiences, contacts, and great memories.  This program is open to the first 100 students who are interested and sign up to participate.

The Amazing Shake is a competition that emphasizes teaching students manners, discipline, respect, and professional conduct.  Students learn the art of professional and human interactions as they are taught soft skills such as how to give a proper handshake, how to “work a room,” how to give a successful interview, and how to remain composed under pressure.  The goal is to prepare our students so that they can present themselves exceptionally well for opportunities today and those that will come in the future.

All interested students must have The Amazing Shake Participant Information Form through Parent Square by Friday, December 19th at 3:00 p.m. The first 100 students to submit this information will be able to participate in The Amazing Shake.

By completing The Amazing Shake Participant Information Form, parent/guardian and student agree for the student to attend training sessions from 2:50 PM to 3:30 PM on the following dates: 1/7/2026, 1/14/2026, 2/11/2026, 2/24/2026, and 3/18/2025  at James Madison.  The parent/guardian and student also agree for the student to attend the competition days (during school hours) on 1/21/26 at James Madison Middle School, 2/19/26 at CTC, 3/5/26 at CTC, 3/19/26 at Catering and Creations, and 4/2/26  at the Hopkins County Board of Education.

Each training session will focus on a specific set of skills.  Instruction will be given on each set of skills and then students will have the opportunity to put their new skills to practice. Students will then compete on competition days, with the highest scores advancing to the next competition. We are excited to have business and community leaders committed to helping with this program to make it a great success.
