Congratulations to Jane Emerson (1st Place), Eliana Hofmann (2nd Place), and Samuel Okunmuyide (3rd Place) for placing in our talent show. All three will advance to the District-Wide Talent Show that will take place in the Spring.

Congratulations to Isabella Carver for winning the school-wide spelling bee. Kennedy Coke placed second. Isabella has now qualified for the District Competition to be held in December.

The Amazing Shake sign-ups were sent out this week. If your student is interested in participating, please sign them up this week.

We’re excited to bring back this incredible program for our students. The Amazing Shake teaches professional skills such as handshakes, interviews, communication, and confidence under pressure. Sign-ups will open next week, and the first 100 students to submit the required Parent Square forms will secure a spot. A parent letter was sent out through Parent Square with full details, dates, and expectations.

We would like to wish our Cheerleaders and our Dancers the very best as they compete tomorrow at South Hopkins Middle School in the WKAC Cheer and Dance Competition

JMMS Volleyball will host 2 open gym dates before tryouts begin. Any girl who is currently enrolled at JMMS and interested in playing Volleyball this school year may attend the open gym sessions. No students will be permitted to take part in open gym or tryouts without providing Coach Lee with a copy of their sports physical.

Open gym Dates: December 5 and December 12 from 4:30-7:30 PM

December 17th from 3-5:30

December 18th from 5:30-7:30

December 19th from 5:30-7:30

Any girl interested in trying out for the volleyball team will need to turn in a copy of their active sports physical to Coach Lee upon arrival to tryouts. Students who don't turn a physical in to Coach Lee will not be allowed to try out. Girls will need to wear tennis shoes and athletic wear to tryouts.

7th grade and up, Monday, December 15th at 3:30pm, at the Glema Mahr Center. Students should bring a 30 second memorized monologue, and 30 second a Capella song choice, also memorized. Contact Mr. Liam Coursey if you have any questions.
