6th Grade Information

Ms. Butler’s classes have been reading Poppy in class and recently took their learning a step further by inviting a special guest! A representative from the Land Between the Lakes (LBL) Woodlands Nature Station visited to speak with our 6th grade students about local wildlife and habitats.

It was a wonderful opportunity to connect the themes of the book with real-world knowledge about the animals and ecosystems in our area. A big thank you to the Nature Station for bringing learning to life!

Thunderbolts

7th Grade Information

The 7th Grade will take a field trip to see the Thunderbolts play hockey on October 28th. The permission slip as well as a link to pay can be found on Parent Square. If you have any questions, please reach out to Ms. Johnson.
We still need volunteers and donations to make the Fall Festival a success for our students! Please consider sending in a bag of candy, box of snack cakes, or small prizes we can use!
7th grade Reading - 10 AR points will be due on Thursday, October 30th. Please encourage your student to continue to read over the break so that they will be successful reaching their goal. We will complete checkpoint #1 when we return from break. Each student has a bookmark that explains the checkpoints.

Health/PE
We have now made it through the first 2 months of school and I wanted to say thank you for helping the start of the year be successful.  We have established a pretty good pattern in PE with alternating weeks between fitness lessons and different sports.  We will continue that pattern after Fall Break.
In Health, we learn the importance of balancing all 3 parts to health: Physical, Mental/Emotional, and Social Health.  And of course the many aspects of each part.
Enjoy your family time during Fall Break and be safe!
